  • ooooooo! fun!

I just posted mine, and strangely enough the word salt came up largest. I guess my opinions about the book you lent me account for a tad too much of my entries in the last six months. Well, that and a photo might be worth a thousand words, but not for this macro.

  • hey you're reading about dead people again aren't you?

  • Yes, I am reading about dead people, by the same lady.  This is about what happens after you're dead in a non-physical-decomposing sense.  It's great, although didn't quite pack the punch of StiffSpook is and enjoyable read though, with her trademark asides.  She's a genuine skeptic with regards to afterlife, so the whole book was going about trying to find any credible scientific evidence that there's an afterlife or spirit that can live on after you're dead.

She found only a few things that made her go "wow," but the vast majority of stuff ranged from really clearly bad, to awful, to deluded, to humorously bad (the chapter on ectoplasm is hilarious).  There were a couple of quantum physicists she spoke to that were mostly incomprehensible, but indicated, as quantum physicists are wont to do, that there may be something.

Most of the stuff that made her go "wow" involved people who'd died on the operating table and left their bodies.  In a couple of cases, they reported knowledge that that credibly shouldn't have had, that was verifiable.  Strangely, both involved shoes.
